The Osu Alata Kakalɔi Award is a formal addition to the Osu Alata calendar — established to ensure the achievements of living legendsare woven into the fabric of history. It celebrates the evolution of Osu Alata's resourcefulness — from mastering the sea to masterfully navigating the Information Superhighway.5 · 10

The inaugural award honours Professor Nii Narku Quaynor, the Architect of the African Internet, whose career embodies the Osu Alata spirit of excellence and innovation — a journey from the shores of Osu to the global stage of digital connectivity.12
